This is part 15 of the series “From Indigenous American to African American” In this video we will continue talking about the enslavement of the American Indian specifically the role that the French played and the role the coureurs des bois “Fur Traders” (slavers) had. We will be reading from the book: “Indian slavery in colonial times within the present limits of the United States” and also from an article on the coureurs des bois from New Mexico University.
We will also discuss the fate of the Natchez Indian Nation and other tribes and how they were taken into slavery and where.

Hope you enjoy,

Hawah Bless
